IVF / ICSI Treatment

About this treatment

In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) and Intra-Cytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI) are advanced assisted reproductive techniques designed to assist fertilization. During IVF, retrieved eggs are combined with prepared sperm in a specialized laboratory environment. ICSI enhances this process by precisely selecting a single healthy sperm and injecting it directly into a mature egg. Embryos are carefully monitored as they develop before being selected for transfer into the uterus during an optimized cycle.

Who this is for

  • Couples experiencing male factor infertility, including low sperm count, motility, or morphology
  • Women with blocked, damaged, or absent fallopian tubes
  • Individuals with unexplained infertility or previous unsuccessful fertilization cycles

What happens

  1. 1
    Initial Consultation & Testing

Comprehensive assessment of hormone levels, ultrasound evaluation, and semen analysis to tailor the treatment protocol.

  2. 2
    Ovarian Stimulation

Daily fertility medications are administered over 10–12 days to stimulate the growth of multiple mature eggs.

  3. 3
    Egg Retrieval & Sperm Collection

A minor outpatient procedure under mild sedation gathers eggs while a sperm sample is prepared in the lab.

  4. 4
    ICSI Fertilization & Embryo Culture

A single viable sperm is injected into each mature egg, and resulting embryos are monitored in the embryology lab for 3–5 days.

  5. 5
    Embryo Transfer

One or more selected embryos are gently placed into the uterus using a fine catheter; remaining suitable embryos may be frozen.

How to prepare

  • Complete all required baseline blood tests, infectious disease screenings, and pelvic ultrasounds prior to starting your cycle.
  • Maintain a balanced lifestyle, avoid smoking and alcohol, and take prescribed daily prenatal vitamins including folic acid.
